Every minute, a woman is violated in the eastern Congo DRC.

Now imagine,
A world where all women will feel safe .
A world where there will be no abuse on children ,girls and women .
A world where all women are able to feed and nourish their children.
Who We Are:
A voice for women and girls that seldom has had a chance to speak!
A voice for those women and girls gripped and held by despair.
Mission:
Founded in 2006, Women and Girls of the World is a nonprofit organization, based in Canada. We are dedicated to raising awareness on violence against women and girls, throughout the world. We view this investment in the rights and wellbeing of women and girls, as an investment in the betterment of societies. Finally, we attach particular importance to violence done to women and girls in regions of armed conflict, as well as in underprivileged communities, where women and girls are found suffering.
Vision:
As the family is the foundational unit of a society, we must protect and nurture the most vulnerable members of the family unit: women and girls. We believe that the investment in women and girls has a multiplying effect on the rest of society, and on the human race as a whole. The reunion of families, the wellbeing of children, as well as real nurturing of its female members, is our vision towards a global and balanced society.
How We Operate:
-The synergy of efforts, to produce the most enduring results in the communities. We believe in the power of synergy of efforts, in order to attain tangible results, and produce real change, in the daily lives of women across the world. For this reason, we work with organizations already present in the communities, in search of solutions and necessary resources. We seek this partnership in order to improve living conditions and promote real growth in the lives of women and girls, at the heart of these communities.
-Favoring autonomy and independence, through education, for women and girls in developing areas. A recycling program of educational materials, such as books and other learning tools, would be implemented, between Canada and Africa.
-Promoting sexual education, as well as raising awareness about the nature of violent relationships. These efforts would be executed in partnership with local hospitals, seminars, conferences, and school visits, with the ultimate goal of preventing STDs, and unwanted pregnancies, in young girls.
